Default Nitrous, Anyone use it?

Low cost, under 2K, only use it if you need it. 150HP. Will be installed with a electronic progressive controller, mapped to RPM and gear, WB O2 auto-cutout to protect the motor, and all stealth install. This would be a two bottle system remote valves at the bottles. All located in the spair tire area. Goal would be 400-450 RWHP in 4th ,5th , and 6th gear. around 350 in 2nd and 375 in 3rd. All with a smooth rise in power so as not to loose traction.

A guy at work has a 525 RWHP TT 350, and he can't get traction to use it. I want to be able to hook-up. I have been down the turbo road see bike in Avatar.

Nitrous is a renewable power-adder. You're going to pay for the system and pay everytime you press the button, hit the rpm switch, etc. If a person can save 2K for that system.... save some more and get a s/c. The power is always there, no need to refill a bottle, and no need to worry about bottle pressure/temp.

Stealth! At $25 a fill, and less than a bottle a month. SC is an option but I do not want to add weight to the front of the car. Fiberglass bottles in the rear is the plan. I drive this car 110 miles a day, on days I can't ride my bikes. I'm looking for the extra power to run up with the C6 vettes say 425 HP.

Nitrous is like drugs, the more they use it the more they want. Until they blow up the engine.

Oh like drugs, then let's just say NO to NO2

Sounds powerful but not for me. It gives perspective to "enjoy it destroy it"

I was the same thing about turbo bikes and boost (I stopped at 15 PSI), the AVG was 2 motors a year for most of the user group. I ran 2 years and still have the same motor, NO BOOM! I'll take it slow and report back. Should start the build in 4 months. If anyone has some useful data please shoot me a PM.

It can be if its not built, I havent searched to see if the VQ37HR uses the same pistons as the VQ35DE but the vq35 used hyperutectic pistons (lightweight, relatively cheap for production) There sturdy enough for regular use but nitrous is very rough on a engine. I have a friend that has nitrous in his SE-R altima with a hundred shot, he went thru 2 engines before finally building one with forged pistons. The #5 piston would always crack its upper ringlands on the piston. If I recall correctly he had it set for 100-110 shot, wet setup. After he put the third engine in he went to a 125 but made it direct port with throttle linked actuation for the lower gears like what the O.P. is talking about doing.
