The LSD is really the one feature I want, but still can live without. The BBK is nice, but I'd venture to say most people will never use them, or the LSD to it's full advantage on a track. My car is a DD, not a race car

I honestly don't like the way the rays wheels look much. If I could save 3k by not getting them, why wouldn't I?

Although, I won't lie, I want the spoiler.

For me, bigger brakes are worthless since I don't track the car. If I did autoX or track days, then they would be desirable.

I should add that if I had found a used Z with the sport package in my price range with low miles I would have seriously considered it. Most of the ones I came across had lots of miles. I would just leave S-mode "off" because I really enjoy toe-heeling. It makes the experience more involving IMO.

For me, it was not the bigger brake rotors but the fixed caliper. I prefer the pedal feel of a fixed caliper over a floating caliper. Track use or street use, the pedal feel is what I wanted. And even a so-so lsd is better than an open diff.

I like the F mode. Using my foot to rev match. Keeps you honest.

Great to know how to do it on your own, but you will never be able to do it as precise or quick as the computer. Plus it gives anyone racing the car on a track the advantage to be able to concentrate more on turning braking etc. Its also the first and only production car in the world with it correct??? If you where not able to turn it off then I can see some of you guys complaing, but you can, so stop being a hater LOL.

I'd rather get a spoiler + bbk + rims + s-mode instead.
I hope you understand how complex the s-mode is and how annoying it will be to install.

Not really being a hater. Just don't understand why people want to have less to do with there cars and driving habits. And if on the track the precision and quickness of this will not matter a bit even if your half a driver. I promise you. I'd be willing to test that.

I dont know... But having a computer blip the throttle and putting the RPM's in the correct spot EVERYTIME I think would give someone a nice advantage around a track. But I do agree with you about people wanting to have less to do with your car, that is why I love manual trannys. But just as I said, the true hard core racer can just turn it off, I dont have any tracks near me at all (thanks Steve Levy) so the S-mode in my car is really only use to make the car sound cool LOL.

With modern synchros, you don't even need to heel/toe. If you are gentle on letting the clutch out, it will not upset the car.

I tend to disagree on the comment that "this will not matter a bit if your (I think you mean "you're") half a driver." A real racer once commented in an interview that anything that makes you faster is best...be it ABS, traction control, semi-automatic gearbox, etc. On a lap without issue, the S mode may not add much, but on a corner when things are not smooth, it might help keep a bad situation from getting worse. Just like ABS. On a good lap, not difference. But if you hit oil/coolant/etc, you will like having it.

That's fine. Maybe I am half a driver. Don't see how that makes my opinion wrong. But you make a good point on what your suggesting about anything that makes you faster helps. But S-mode is not going to do that. A LSD will. It will help on a lesser experienced driver, I admit. But how in the world if you run through oil, coolant, and etc have to do with S-mode. These things are traction issues. Not rev matching. Also you don't have to know how to heel to toe to be faster. It's about methods.

Good points. I'm sure I wouldn't even know the difference between a floating and fixed caliper! I couldn't agree more about the LSD.
