Dealer says "grinding into second is not abnormal"

Of course Nissan was then called "DATSUN" and no one had every seen a Z car before. I cut the "DATSUN" emblems in half...making them read "SUNDAT"
I was getting ready to order a 2011 this week....but now after hearing all of these problems I dont know what I am going to do.
