Indeed. At 9K miles, friction plate should have plenty of life left. Sounds like your clutch wear is secondary to whatever happened originally. Good luck!

Happened to me today. Driving to the gym and clutch started to feel a bit weird, but thought my seat was just misadjusted and didn't think about it. Coming home, clutch fell right down and then the engagement was on the floor, and then nowhere at all, and wouldn't return. Stopped at a red light and couldn't get moving again

Clutch fluid level looked fine, might have even been above max, but looked very dirty.

Once I figured out how to drive without a clutch, limped to the nearest dealership and it's sitting there now waiting to be looked at.

Clutchless shifting and using the starter to get moving (while clutch pedal is to the floor)?

Good news, They're replacing the master, slave, and hoses all under warranty.

Got an Altima 2.5S for my troubles.

Update: Got the car back on Thursday, Everything seems to be working fine.
