The slave cylinder went out on my 2016 Nismo with just 1100 miles. Fortunately, the dealership did a good job in handling the situation and it was obviously covered under warranty, but still pretty crappy ro have this happen so soon...

Get the rjm clutch peddle. Heard nothing but good about it. Gives you a bigger engagement window as well as an adjustment to your liking. :tiphat:

Has anyone received an email from nhtsa following up on your complaint filed on their web site? I happened to find this in my junk box today.

They're looking for additional documentation to add to the claim but I don't have any to submit. I didn't take the car to the dealer and just refilled the flush in my driveway. How should I respond guys? I already provided the details in the claim, not sure if there's anything I can add to it.

I got rid of my Z after this issue. That was the last straw pulled. Too many major issues at such low miles. I am disappointed with the 370z and I love the Z. I had owned the 350z and I loved that car so much it made me purchase the 370z (with 7k miles) and it some major issues which scares me now that the factory warranty is up.

I was told I needed an engine and had Nissan rebuild it (under warranty) then that failed (shot a rod...hole in my engine). they replaced it with a new engine. Then this clutch failing issue aside from minor little things was to much to bear with 42k miles.

I did, I answered the little form provided... Explained everything I did including having Nissan look at it and scanned over the work orders from my independent shop and dealership.

They really need to recall this issue. (I think I have said/post that at least 7 times now).

I haven't had a problem yet (knock on wood) but this scares the sh!# out of me. An aluminum SCS needs to be made and Nissan should recall and install them all.

It's a matter of time. Its a ticking bomb.

And they were trying to make me pay for a rental car, needless to say that did not go over well...

wowwww, that would have completely me set me over the top. thats just crazy, and brother I hate to tell you this but they're likely to put the same sh1tty part in your car, which will eventually fail again.. its like a cat chasing its tail.

Mine went on me last week. Parked it at the end of the day, went to start it the next morning, and the clutch pedal had almost no resistance, sunk straight to the floor.

I was aware of the problem, checked the clutch fluid (empty).

called roadside assitance, had it towed to the nearest dealership, where it was fixed within two days.

they determined it to be the CSC (go figure) and it was repaired under warranty, no questions asked.

This was in Ontario, Canada

2016 Touring Sport, 4800km.

I had this sh1t happen on my 07 hr even before the csc gave out because of a recall notice. A year later the csc gave limp clutch this was after the recall had been done. What the heck is Nissan using for those csc? I though this was fixed after the last 350z model?

I noticed that no one is really adding themselves to the list but instead posting that they've had theirs go out and I think it's easier/safer to keep a on going list every time someone announces they had it fail rather than it get buried among the rest of the discussion, That way when you guys have time you have a easy to find reference to add to your spreadsheet (which makes it easier to link to when calling out Nissan on facebook or anywhere else)

I don't think they give a rat's ***. It's been going on since 2009 and they've done nothing to date.
