Starting Jan 2017 I will no longer host and maintain the spreadsheet. If no one wants to volunteer to take over the spreadsheet I'm going to take it down and remove the link on the front page.

Can you just leave what's there? if anyone wants to be added they could contact the law firm that's creating a class action lawsuit and be added to that list. Just an idea Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Well, my 2013 with 21,000 miles just had an issue. It went to half peddle pressure Friday morning. It came back to the top with a couple of pumps but this is the tail tail sign it will be done shortly. Order a lightened flywheel and clutch kit to replace everything soon before I get stranded on the side of the road.

My master fail at 56k, fixed under warranty. Now at 105k, slave fail and it's $1.7k of my own money. I was joking with my adjuster to put this on the regular maintenance checklist every 50k miles.

All, I've updated OP with link to new host for the spreadsheet. Devil34 is taking over spreadsheet duties. Feel free to PM him if you would like to help him edit the spreadsheet.

First post. Signed up for the forum because of this issue. Bought my Z with 38k miles and the CSC blew at 40k miles. Got it replaced with the hd slave from zspeed. The pedal pressure is much lighter than I remember. But the clutch is still just as grabby as ever.
Mechanic said my clutch still looks brand freakin new, so fingers crossed I get to enjoy some reliability. Anyway, add me to that list of yours if you wish. |
Damn guys, my clutch was losing pressure a few days ago so I scheduled an appointment for today to get it checked out because of possible CSC issue.
Started my car today and couldn't get into 1st gear..took couple of tries and it got into gear. On the way to the appointment on the highway, my pedal sunk to the floor while trying to shift into 5th gear. It wouldn't let me shift out of 4th at all and I had to slow down on the side and rolled until I stalled.... Had to tow to dealership and is getting checked out. Receiving a call tomorrow... 2016 Base Coupe 21,000KM got the car brand new. |

Clutch feels very smooth now, but i think the engagement point is even higher than when I got it off the lot...and a lot less "springy" feeling at the engagement point coming back up. Not sure if they changed/removed my clutch helper spring I had replaced for the OEM spring, or that I got used to the half dead clutch :ugh2:. |
Anyone know if they're actually using an "upgraded" part? Ryennn, do you have the part number?

I'm at 27K as well but no issues. I'll be getting the CSC delete installed in a few weeks.

Should I push Nissan for a resolution? I am not sure if my area's regional manager is still working or retired. I have worked with him before on customer issues back in the day when I was a Nissan Tech. I may try. It also may be a waste of my time.
|
How much are you guys paying to have the deletes/upgraded csc installed?
I have my Zspeed delete kit (still need to get a master cylinder) on hand and will be ready for it to go, but I am curious as to how much it will cost me. |

Well, my old regional service rep retired a couple of months ago. So much for that. CSC failures are not always catastrophic. I have had too many to count on older Z's. Nothing new to me. Been dealing with it since 1986. The problem now is it is in the bell housing. I checked with my parts guy and the CSC part number changed several years ago. That normally means that Nissan started using a different supplier. If they had several changes in the last couple of years that would mean they were upgrading the part. That doesn't appear to have happened.

csc failure? not sure?
So I was driving one day and the clutch went out and had no pressure. So I drained the fluid and replaced it got all the air out. Went back to normal for about a week then same thing happened, so I replaced the Master Cylinder and it has been good for about a month. Now it is going out again slowly I can just tell. It is in and out though, so I'm not sure if it is the CSC? I honestly don't want to replace it because it will cost easily 1000$. Anyone have any advice I'm just at a stand still right now.
Thanks |
putting gtr fluid will prolong it some, but eventually you'll just have to replace it. zspeed or z1 motorsports.
