For the record, I love auto!
The only reason I bought my Z is because it was Canadian model(as I live in Canada) A 40th anniversary fully loaded with every possible option available at the time for our cars. U don't believe me.............. just ask my wife!! 4 years+ and she still hounds me that its manual:shakes head: Guys...........listen to your wife if you want to buy cars:tiphat: |
better yet...........
listen to your wife if you want to modify your cars:roflpuke2: |

i'll drive for the 1/4 willis can take the track portion. Luciano....pick your team :stirthepot: |

it has the same rev match system as the manual. i'll put money on that the AT can come down in speed just as fast if not faster than the 6mt. |
Just because you use facts doesn't mean you're right!

it's 2015 and the MT is no longer the dominant factor in a performance car and people just cant handle it. (insert joker everyone loses their mind meme here....blocked at work :( ) |

but any person tuning your car with uprev can adjust the tranny line pressure settings to make shifts harder. |
I'm firmly in the manual camp as far as preference and don't ever plan on buying an auto. That said, if a manual was faster around a road course, F1 would still be using one. Granted they aren't slush boxes, but Formula 1 started dropping regular H pattern manuals in 1989. As far as a drag race goes, who gives a crap how fast a car is in a straight line.

Automatics are awesome, don't get me wrong. However, owning an automatic is like that last interview with one of the Telsa employee's. "My self-driving cars may lead to human driver ban, says Tesla's Musk". Talk about fall asleep behind the wheel. At least with a Manual, I can stay awake.
|
Put up your hand if you are a manual transmission driver and care that a transmission that doesn't require you to touch it other than to shift from Park to Drive (lol) can shift 1/10th of a second faster than a human. Sounds like a whole lotta fun to me, NOT!
|
I love when manual drivers think that the AT owners only put the car in "D" and drive. then go on with comment like above about "falling asleep"
 my car is never in "D", I make every shift, I shift more than manual drivers most likely, and I know that gearbox inside and out. if the argument is engagement with the car go talk to the old guys who own a Z with a AT. that's about the only group it applies to. the argument is null and void. time to find another excuse MT boys. |

I wasn't trying to be mean. I'm just old school manual. I went from automatics to manual and couldn't be happier. Everyone has their preference though

AT cannot skip gears like a MT so when I downshift coming to stops I drop through each gear except never doing a 2-1 downshift. that isn't good for the AT. so technically I do shift more than you and also when on the highway I have 1 more gear to go up into. again a MT boy has failed. |
There is way to much traffic here this time of year so I use the D in the street. I also use it at the end of cool down laps but never when I'm on the track having fun.

You auto tards gotta learn to stop taking things so personally, idiots! |

just go off of what you think you know and sound dumb. ever notice the informed MT drivers say they like both and how good the AT is but personal choice they still went MT? :tiphat: |

AT drivers dont like facts....that is why they tried to hide the poll that began this thread when they started to fall behind in the poll....You can tell they can not state their side well because they are starting to call names........Like QUEERS |
Quote:
b. queer isn't name calling unless it's referring to you blowing dudes. do you know what the definition of queer is my friend? if not here's a refresher :tiphat: Definition of QUEER 1 a : worthless, counterfeit <queer money> b : questionable, suspicious 2 a : differing in some odd way from what is usual or normal b (1) : eccentric, unconventional (2) : mildly insane c : absorbed or interested to an extreme or unreasonable degree : obsessed d (1) often disparaging : homosexual (2) sometimes offensive : gay 4b i'll go with thinking that the MT is better than the AT in a Z is queer (mildly insane) or that you're statements against the AT are queer (questionable, suspicious of your knowledge about the Z) good day sir. :tiphat: |
You are the expert
I will not argue with you.......you are the **** sucking expert !

:owned: the fact that I just destroyed you with a dictionary definition rebuttal and all you can come back with is that I suck peep.......it's laughable at best. run along my son. come back when you are ready to do battle. for now :gtfo2: |
Pretty sure my next car is going to be a DCT flappy-paddle box.
I love my three pedals, but you just can't compete with the precision of a flappy-paddle box (at lest with a DCT). That said, AT also never misses a shift. :wtf2: |

For the guys that say MT is best..... Don't know what they are saying. MT is more fun to drive in the streets of our cities and townships. If you get the best auto tranny available....... Yes! MT will never have a chance(with the same driver) I guess the 7A for our Z has the semi manual available..... So i will agree that a semi auto 370z is just as fun as an MT 370z:tiphat: |

I'm just sick of sitting in traffic, clutch in, clutch out, clutch in, clutch out, sit for a bit, clutch in, clutch out... over, and over, and over, and over, only to ever get beyond second gear once. I hate driving anymore. Where's the chauffeur option? |
