Is a juddery clutch common?

I don't remember this happening on the 350Z, but it gets quite annoying when going from standstill. It was pretty bad when the car was new. The problem came back

It was pretty bad when the car was new. The problem came back after "burning" the clutch, and then it went away after a day or two. __________________
