Default Pressed clutched down, never came back up. Help!

Unfortunately, yesterday I was driving my 2009 370z on the freeway and all of sudden as I was about to switch gears, the clutch lost resistance completely, therefore making it impossible to shift. First thing that came up in my mind is the slave cylinder went bad. I called a couple buddies and they told me to check the brake fluid. I checked it and it was clear, however around 10 minutes later I checked the clutch and there was a little resistance, enough to start the car and exit the freeway. However, first stop light and the resistance was lost and the clutch went limp once again. Checked the brake fluid once more and there was nothing. Checked for a leak where the piping is at and seen nothing. Checked inside the car where the clutch is located to see if there's a leak-- still nothing. Underneath the car-- no leak. I heard that's a good thing since it means the clutch isn't ruined, or drenched I shall say. What do you guys think the problem is? & how could I solve it? Is it the slave cylinder? Is it true if I switch the slave cylinder I have to change the master cylinder since they work together? Need solutions from you lovely ducklings. Thanks for reading!

Its ur master cylinder that is bad, it has to make pressure, the fluid is just going throug the piston cuz the rubber seals ripped.

This is a master cylinder failure, not the slave cylinder. I've had my master go out twice. Be thankful the part is ~$125 and doesn't require dropping the transmission.

The seals in the master are internal, so any leak is still contained within the clutch system. But it won't be able to properly induce pressure into the system, which is required to actuate the throwout bearing.

after replacing my clutch pedal with the RJM, swapping out the master cylinder would be a fairly easy job.

Everyone is telling me it's the slave cylinder. What the hell do I do? Buy both, pick and choose?

If the slave is done, you should replace the master also. If I were you, I would buy the master and replace it. If you don't get pressure back and a working clutch system, then I would buy the slave. Upgrade to a ZSpeed or Z1 kit. I would only use another OEM one if it were 100% covered under a warranty and they refuse to put in an aftermarket CSC.
