yup its normal, I too started a thread about this when I first got my car. you'll get to where you can drive it and hardly ever make it clunk

yup its normal, I too started a thread about this when I first got my car. you'll get to where you can drive it and hardly ever make it clunk again. when you're in first and going into second or even from first to neutral push the clutch in slowly...enjoy
