Wow! I wonder what the efficiency numbers are? This puppy cost more than yet-to-be-installed oil cooler kit.

You can buy a simple Pan extender which adds a quart to the system for around $100

Has anyone done this without adding an oil cooler to see how temps are? Obviously more oil does not mean lower temps but it might help, I know wstar last year did an oil pan spacer with an oil cooler at the same time and he could not break 190° in Texas heat.

More oil does mean lower temps.

But enough for our car to drop the temps from 240 to 220 or less?
If so, this would be the perfect solution for people not wanting an oil cooler, do not plan to track, but would like slightly lower oil temps in high temp locations (IE me).
