Default TPMS Light Notifying Malfunction in system

So tonight, my TPMS light went off while driving on the toll road after only about 5 mins of driving. After checking the manual, the sequence they describe says there is a malfunction in the TPMS. It flashes for about a minute, and then stays on. Anyone have any experience with this? I literally just got an oil change and installed a new shift knob today and now this.. Might it be related somehow?

Thanks

Have you checked the tire pressure? Maybe a tire is little low.

^^ Agreed

Or it might need a recalibration for some weird reason.

Sounds like it dealer time. You're still under warranty. Have you also checked your tires to see whether they are all at 35 psi?

Agreed. If I recall correctly, if your tire pressure drops below 27 PSI, light will turn on.

Well a couple things,

1. If my tire pressure were low, the TPMS would just stay lit. It wouldn't blink for 1 minute and than stay lit. This is the sequence that the manual suggests is a TPMS malfunction. Correct me if I'm wrong please. Also, my tires are not low, they all look beefy and are all registering 34 PSI.

2. On another note, on the drive back from Fullerton, I get on the freeway and the light turns off. What the eff is happening? Is my car is messing with me! Haha. I can tell its not running normal though. Im taking it in first thing in the morning.

Just got back from the Dealer, they took me for a test drive in it, everything seemed to be running smoothly. They took it in and did a quick diagnostic, and it came back normal. TPMS is not malfunctioning, and all tires are perfectly even at 34 PSI. What the? Was I high last night? NOOOOO, even my fiance saw the light blink on. Oh well as long as Im gravy. Still, makes me wonder though....

I've got the same issue. Took it into the dealer and got the same answer. Was your light on when you had the dealer check it? I'm curious because my current plan is to take it in one time while the alarm is active and see if they can tell me why it's going off.

I just had this happened...while driving on the highway, the light came on. After a two mins, it started to blink and within 5-6 mins, it went off. This is the first time this happened. I do have to note I was driving in massive hawaii rain and went by the time it went off, the rain had stopped and it was on semi dry roads. Can extreme weather cause it to temp malfunction? The total drive was 30 mins and the light was on/blinked for approx 8 mins before turning off.

Happens every time I get on the highway for more than a few minutes on mine. Then turns off within an hour of normal driving. I plan to swing by the dealer next time it happens with the light still on. Anyone had theirs successfully diagnosed yet?

Nope and they tell me that they cant diagnose it unless its on, literally, ive driven to the dealer 5 times and it turns off everytime, like right before I pull into the service department. Its like they see me coming and "hit the switch". Im starting to doubt myself haha.
