Just recently bought my Z and so far its only got 644 miles on it, WHATS GOING ON??????
Just make sure the tire pressure is at the recommended psi, and if you still see the low tire warning while driving take in to the dealer. You may have faulty tpms

I'm betting a loose or bad connector.

I had it happen once with my car, when I had less than 1000 miles on it. Light turned on withing a few minutes of driving, I pulled into a parking lot to look at the manual...light turned itself off! No problems since and I've got almost 8,000 miles. Checked the tire pressures immediately after the incident and they we're all good.

There is a test connector under the dash that, when grounded, will make the TPMS light flash out error codes. The car will tell you exactly why the light was on if you feel like digging around under the dash.

Just saying...

Trav

I must have jinxed myself...the TPMS just did the same thing. I was going a constant speed (85mph) on the highway for about 6 miles before it turned on. I pulled off to a gas station, checked the tire pressures and they all we're exactly even. Turned car on/off and the light was still on. Repeated and the light went off for the whole ride home. If it does it again, I'm going to the dealership.

Mine has done that about 5 times since i bought the car and the tires have never been low when it comes on. Add one more quirk to our cars along with the rear hatch not opening all the way when you push the button. Gas gauges that mess up and do weird things when the tank gets low. Driver seat that moves around on the non powered seats etc. I still love my Z but it has some issues.

Mine came on today after work. Turned the car off at a stop light and turned it back on with the light still on. Checked the tires when I got home and they are all at 30 PSI. I'm thinking that this is how the car came from the dealership. The car has 13k miles on it right now. Any suggestions?

Fill the tires to the recommended 34psi for one, and if it doesn't clear after driving for a bit? you have a bad tpms

I filled the tires up to around 34psi. Drove for around 4 miles and the light finally went off.

Just posting to say I have the exact same thing happening on occasion. It'll flash indicating there's a malfunction and then it'll just go away. Has gone away for a while now.

You should be checking your tire pressures more often that 13k miles, I guess this is why the government mandated the dummy light! Tire pressures change with the seasons (temperature), they may have been filled correctly by the dealership on a nice 90F day. 30 isn't dangerous but you wouldn't believe how many SUV's I see barreling down the highway at 80mph with dangerously under-inflated tires. I always give them space in case they blow out, lose control, roll over and burst into flames (they don't call them Ford Exploders for nothing).

As for the other problem with the light flashing and then staying on, it can happen if you idle your car for a long time as the sensors only send a signal when moving. If it still happens when driving then you have a faulty sensor, as mentioned above there are ways to get flash codes, or you can hook up to a consult III at the dealer. Sensors can be damaged by harsh bumps and potholes or during tire mountings.

I was perfectly fine at 30psi. I have seen people post on here that are at 26psi at the track. Just did not like that annoying light. BTW, got the car in December so doubt it was 90 degrees outside.
