I would be worried about any oil consumption what so ever. my z was consuming a little oil about 1/2 quart per 3k miles. tailpipes really dark with soot. I

I would be worried about any oil consumption what so ever. my z was consuming a little oil
about 1/2 quart per 3k miles. tailpipes really dark with soot. I know it wasn't running rich due to being tuned. I have since sold my z and got a 2010 g37 that doesn't drink a drop of oil and the tailpipes are perfectly clean and have been for several thousand miles. I notice that the car runs much stronger than my z ever did even with g3's full berk exh and tune. in my opinion a motor should never burn oil if it is running properly. I feel that after break in if you are still consuming oil, you have a problem.
