So after awhile of trying to diagnose where the leak is coming from, the only possible thing I can think of is the heater core.
It took about 2 weeks or so for the fluid to build back up. The odd thing is that i haven't used the heater at all. Could the heater core be leaking even when the heater isn't being utilized? After browsing some of the forums, it seems i can just connect the two hoses at the fire wall and bypass the heater core. Im not too concerned about not having heat as this isnt my daily driver, but I am concerned about the defrost. Will air still blow through the vents the defrost the windshield? I would assume it will, just wont be hot air? I attached some additional photos. You can kind of see where the fluid is leaking by the lines in the carpet. I pulled the carpet and you can see fluid lines down the trans tunnel to where the fluid is collecting. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, B |
