No idea, unless your engine bay plastics are misaligned and rainwater or car wash water is leaking on it?

I'm just pretty sure that that and the grommet are the only two ways through the firewall on the passenger side.

I originally thought it was the heater core.

I soaked it up with paper towel and the liquid was clear.
