CSC and realease bearing education

Can the release bearing be replaced apart from CSC? Or do you replace the whole thing as a unit?

I thought so. Dealer was confusing me.

I would recommend not replacing the CSC, but delete it with the ZSpeed or Z1 kits. I went through 2 of them before 55k miles before I wised up.

Or you can buy an ATS twin disk clutch that will come with an external Nissan slave upgrade.

Understood and thanks. This was a Warranty job. It wasn't the classic CSC failure per say, but a whining noise emitting from the area.

They also replaced the pilot bushing. I will monitor and see if noise is caused by something else.

This is a 2017 Nismo with 21K Km's. Transmission seems fine and they don't think it was the culprit. Changed oil in it anyway. No metal or ugly fluid.

Once out of warranty, I will do CMAK and clutch/flywheel upgrade. They can change as many CSC as they want under warranty. LOL

Just don't forget this logic when you get stranded somewhere when your CSC fails when you least suspect it.

Thanks. I don't think it will fail, but if it does, I will be the one to blame. I fully understand that.

I think by the time I put on another 20k km's, it will be out of warranty and I will go ahead with conversion.

Did you change it out yourself or have a shop do it?

It is inevitable it will fail the question is when will it than will it fail. Definitely replace the whole unit or better yet delete it. The Z Speed Performance CMAK would be my first choice on the list though.
