i first noticed it around 12k, but I'm only having the problem when I downshift to 5th, anyone else experiencing this? no problems upshifting, just when I downshift from 6th.

I have the exact same problem. I have to go from 6th to 5th VERY slow to not grind.

I think mine is starting to get a little crunchy when I downshift from 6th to 5th, stupid Nissan tranny. I wonder how much money Nissan is losing due to these replacements.

LOL this forum is making me nervous also. Between the oil consumption, now trannys grinding. I just bought a twin turbo kit and if I have any of these issues I am going to be screwed since Nissan is going to blame everything on that.

Although I do have the hatch problem I have to hold it down a little bit after I hit the button once to get it to open

I bought the GTM stage 2, also getting the hks exhaust and the gtm oil cooler. I am kind of following stormcrow's build since I was very pleased on the results that he obtained. Also there was a few people that recomended his build and said it should be safe and reliable.

Update: I took my car in for diagnosis last week and they said that it needs a new tranny. Got called this past Wednesday and was told my new transmission is in town and I am to bring my car in this next Wednesday for them to replace it. Woo!

Update: Picked my car up last Friday from the local dealer with a brand new transmission. I haven't been able to drive it much, but in the 40 miles or so of having it I have noticed that is shifts very smoothly. Here's hoping that it stays that way

I'm 3,00 miles+ into the new transmission and it's still doing awesome (new
transmission at 11,485 miles)
