Default No 2nd gear engagement

I got in my Z this morning ,started driving as normal, as I was shifting to 2nd gear it was as though I wasn't pushing down the clutch! It would grind as I was trying to put her in 2.
After the 2nd try it went into gear.
This has happened not too long ago. Is this a sign the clutch is going bad, or the CSC issue? It shifts fine warmed up with no slipping and has 50k miles on it.

Take a look at the clutch fluid. If it's dark and has chunks in it, prepare for a wallet rape.

Default 2nd gear

Did the clutch pedal feel firm at first or did it get firmer as you pumped it? Sounds like the CSC is starting to go. You can try a flush/bleed on the clutch and see if it borrows you some time.

the 2nd gear can be a bit notchy when the trans fluid is cold, but check the fluid as other suggested. it might not have disengaged the clutch properly during the gear change if there is leak in the clutch hydraulics.
