oem Tolerances between piston and cylinder wall are built with 99% of the population in mind who will start car, pull out of driveway and floor it down the street, otherwise everybodys engines would be seizing. All your doing flooring a cold engine is burining a little oil because the piston and cylinder wall havent expanded to operating tolerance yetl. if you have built engine then different story, you have to know what rate your piston expands vs cyclinder wall expands and what tolerance you built to cold to know if you have a chance of seizing . thats why most oem dont like to use forged pistons because they expand a lot more and need looser tolerance because joe schmoe is too ignorant and will floor his cold engine and seize the engine so they have to make looser tolerance which mean more oil burning which means joe schmoe will complain, so they think why even bother with forged pistons becasue either way hoe schmoe will create problems for them, see?
