Overfilling will definitely cause huge issues. I overfilled mine earlier this year and caused major problems. It would not idle correctly and after a serious idle issue the idle reset

I overfilled mine earlier this year and caused major problems. It would not idle correctly and after a serious idle issue the idle reset itself to about 1100 rpm. I let the car drain for an extended period of time to try and clear the air bubbles caused by the overfill. When I drained the oil, there were a LOT of air bubbles. I then had to pull the battery cable to reset the ecu.
