But right now I have no clue what's causing it, I will have it towed to the shop that did the fuel pump install since they know it best this weekend, hopefully they can resolve it quickly, missing some nice summer driving days.

If the pump inside the RRP dies, then even if the stock pump is still working, the car would not run. But its pretty rare that a newer fuel pump dies. Most likely a wiring problem or an in-tank hose issue.
