throttle controller
does anyone make a throttle controller to make the response faster or slower? I had a vitese throttle controller on my camaro when I had it and I loved it because it had an eco mode or a sport mode to make the throttle response way faster, anything out there for the Z?

I have the Sprint Booster, can't comment on how well it works as I've yet to install it but I searched and most forum members with it have had positive reviews.

Impul replacing chip on oem cpu and tunes it. But it will run you $2700~$4500 and if you purchase new cpu from them you will need to reprogram keys. Impul.co.jp

In a nut shell, it alters the output of the throttle pedal going to the ECM (ie, simulates pressing the pedal farther). More info on their web site.
As for availability, search for "SprintBooster" on the Web.

You could also get a tune and make sure the tuner spends some time cleaning up the throttle tables. You'd also end up with more power to boot.

A sprintbooster is just a band-aid. Just do whatever breathing mods you plan to do and then get a tune. If you're staying stock then maybe a sprintbooster would make sense.

Get a real upgrade, Ecutek. You can have a real economy mode that will actually save you gas and a real performance mode with full throttle control

Yeah.
But as others have said, it's a poor and incomplete solution to the problem of throttle lag. SprintBooster and similar products only alter the signal going to the ECM and no amount of manipulating that signal is going to get rid of lag. Only modifying the ECM will reduce lag to the minimum possible. Do any other performance mods (intake, exhaust) you plan on doing and then get a tune.

Then you have wasted your money. All a SprintBooster does is tell the ECM that you are pressing down on the pedal harder than you actually are. You can get the same effect by pushing on the pedal a little harder yourself.
