Default Blitz Throttle Controller

I was reading this post the other day on Gas Pedal Delay. I guess there are some forum members having issuse and there is some discussion about that Sprint Booster.

I was just looking through the latest issue of Option (JDM Tuning Magazine) and came accross this product from Blitz.

Quote:
The Blitz throttle controller enables alteration of the electronic throttle controller on many newer vehicles. Through 4 different modes ranging from Economy to Sport the reaction of the accelerator pedal can be altered to suit economy or performance.

Economy Mode
Designed to provide smooth throttle response for street driving providing greater fuel efficiency

Sport 1
Throttle is opened greater at lower revs compared to standard, providing faster low down acceleration but with no modification once the revs increase.
Sport 2
The throttle is opened at twice the rate of standard acceleration, designed for sport driving and circuit use.

Sport 3
Extreme sport and circuit use, the throttle is opened at four times the standard accelerator action.

Reverse Cancel harness
Prevents operation in reverse gear for safety when entering your garage.
It looks to be in the same price range as the Sprint Booster. Thought I'd post it for those who may be interested. On a site I saw this listed: Part Num: 14665 (V36,NV36,PV36,CKV36,Z34). Not sure if that's Blitz part # or not.

There has to be a vendor here who sells Blitz, It's not as popular a brand as the Top 2 JDM brands (HKS/Trust (Greddy) but it's still around. It looks like that pricing is a little more than that Sprint Booster thing but I think it has a few more things going for it.

The name brand has been established for a long time now and It also has adjustments and pre-sets for tuning.

Ahhh...I was holding off on posting anything about this as it is currently not offered stateside. We are an authorized Blitz distributor and we actually have sold a few units to some customers with IS250s. We do have some difficulties with throttle lag, especially at higher operating temps (even with an oil cooler).

We called about a week ago to see if there was a 370Z specific unit, or if the G37 unit would work with our 370Z shop car. The answer we got was that there is a vehicle specific harness that is not compatible with the USDM 370Z. Blitz Japan has two different part numbers for the G37/370Z, neither of which are compatible with the USDM models.

If you guys are interested, I can definitely find out when the expected shipment is for the prototype harness.

Also, just to clarify, these work exactly as the Sprint Boosters do. However, they do not minimize the lag time between the gas pedal being depressed and the throttle plate actually opening as the lag is programmed into the ECU and cannot be fixed without an ECU tuning.

The throttle controller simply maximizes the gas pedal to throttle opening ratio. Think of it as tightening the throttle cable on a conventional throttle to open the throttle with less effort.
