The reason I am asking about weight is the notion that the mechanical lsd could be heavier than the factory VLSD. The weight added could be a secondary effect and not a decision maker in upgrading my diff. I just wanted to know how big that difference was. I have to keep the power planted after all.

I don't run a diff cooler on mine because my car isn't a track car. A diff cooler isn't needed for street use
