Drain plug magnet cracked.

I noticed a hairline crack in my GReddy oil plug, right at the base of the magnet. It wasn't over torqued, it spun right off easy with my box end

Default Drain plug magnet cracked.

I noticed a hairline crack in my GReddy oil plug, right at the base of the magnet.
It wasn't over torqued, it spun right off easy with my box end wrench.
I tried a google search of the forum and didn't find anything. Anyone else ever encounter this problem?

Not all that common but it happens every now and then. Get a new plug.

Great, I just got the Greddy one for my new Z. Oh well, no big deal, if it breaks I get a new one.

Honestly from my oil test reports that I got back I didn't notice any faster then normal drop off in iron levels during break in and the iron levels are still in the average range, I also use a filter magnet. I don't think I would spend money on them anymore.
