Does VDC hinder acceleration?

I have yet to turn my VDC off in the 3250 miles I've got so far. There are times when I make some quick shifts and I'll get shut down

There are times when I make some quick shifts and I'll get shut down for a second, but I'm usually expecting it to happen in those cases.
