Its not that we need a front to back trap door most, its that the rear to sump pan slope is too shallow due to the steering rack so oil doesnt like to move forward very well in our pan.

Yeah that was one of my things with the FI flexplate, it looks too stiff

Do you have pictures of the FI flex plate and maybe the material Tony used? I can have my team take a look at it. I believe Tony mentioned on his Facebook that he's using the SFI regulation on the flex plate, so there shouldn't be any big problem on the material if it's designed properly.

the pictures i saw of it where from way back who knows maybe they changed it wasn't cycy89 or something supposed to have had them build it? was his car every finished?

Found it. It's a two-piece design kind of like the OEM one but with the center portion made of billet aluminum. I don't think it'll be too stronger depending on the thickness of the plate, but I believe our one-piece design has the advantage of a higher manufacturing accuracy and precision, with less NVH level.

ahhh this bieng my first auto car, I am lost....This part goes in the transmission? I though i was a sealed unit? Looks like an amazing piece....in for some schooling

Flex plate basically serves the same purpose as the flywheel in a MT

will this part be an extensive time consuming install? any guesses on how long it'll take to swap one out?

Flex plate is the part that connects the 7AT to the engine. One side is the engine and the other side is the torque converter. The teethes are for the starting motor.

It's a three hours or less job and any dealership or performance shop should be able to do it.

I need u to explain me in detail what this could do for us auto guys. I dont know much so help me understand.
Does this mean we can go FI without worrying about transmission failure or is this just to delay the inevitable ?
