reverse wire

Got a 2013 Couple and trying to install a backup camera into my Kenwood HU.. From what I understand the reverse wire I need to tie into for the cam power is located in the drivers floorboard side panel in the harness near the fuses.

There are 3 harness that come together here into one that runs down the door way to the rear. The wire I am looking for is suppose to be either tan or orange.. As you can see, there's several brown/tan wires and no true orange wires..

Anyone know which of the 3 harnesses this reverse wire is located in as that will narrow down the search a bit.

if you dont get a response, check with bigaudiofanat (vendor).

personally i just tapped the actual reverse light wire while i was wiring up the camera... since i had the trunk liner off anyway.

The FSM has wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, wire colors, &c. The color abbreviations are not always what you think - read the legend.

I went ahead and did the easy thing. I tapped into the reverse wire at the left rear tail light and ran the wire back up the HU. All is well..

That's a pretty long run and wires can act like antennae. Most modern electronics are pretty good about rejecting electrical noise but modern cars are very noisy (control modules, high-tension ignition, injectors, &c). If you notice any "static" you may want to install some filtering (at the unit) or use a shorter wire.
