That's a pretty long run and wires can act like antennae. Most modern electronics are pretty good about rejecting electrical noise but modern cars are very noisy (control modules, high-tension ignition, injectors, &c). If you notice any "static" you may want to install some filtering (at the unit) or use a shorter wire.
