Default Research: Touring Aluminum Pedals onto Base

Ive been checking out the parts at an online OEM parts store and would like to know if anyone has been going the same direction for this mod.
  • Brake and clutch pedals share the same pedal cover, the parts diagram shows the pedal pad as an individual part from the assembly for clutch and brake (Part# 46531) around 70 bucks each

  • Accelerator pedal only is available through the whole assembly (Part#18002)
    about 130 bucks
I need to confirm if this parts numbers are indeed nissan's

Do any of the site sponsors carry this parts?

I'll do some searching around. I'm very interested in this myself.

This website seems to have some solid information on the pedals, including diagrams with part numbers for the entire assembly.

Solution for aluminum touring pedals for base model 370z.

You can get the pedal pads for the clutch pedal and the brake pedal, in fact
they use the same pad. The footrest is the same on both models. However, the accelerator pedal has to be replaced as a whole.

-------Q157431-------
PAD PEDAL $77.60
PAD PEDAL $77.60
ACCEL-LEVER $130.17
---------------------
Ground shipping $9.85
Total $295.22

After replacing the accelerator pedal you must complete a "Accelerator Pedal
Released Position Learning" procedure.

----------------------------------------
Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning is a function of ECM to learn the
fully released position of the accelerator pedal by monitoring the accelerator
pedal position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time the
harness connector of the accelerator pedal position sensor or ECM is
disconnected.

ACCELERATOR PEDAL RELEASED POSITION LEARNING :

1.START
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

I'll have a DIY up tomorrow on these custom pedals if you decide to go with some real aluminum. I've worked with the Manuf. to get these perfectly sized and contoured to the 370. Going on the car tomorrow.. $99-$150 (set) depending on finish.
