I started to peel one of them the other day while on the car, realized it was going to take some serious effort, so i stopped..

But yes, the less you spray, the harder it is to remove.

I heard wd40 somehow breaks down the plastidip you might want to give that a try.

sorry if this has been asked before but how long should you wait before removing the masking tape.

I did the rear valance thing today and while removing masking the dip came right off with the masking. Ending up taking it all off, it was a complete waste of time

Same thing happened to me the first time... You need to do 3-4 coats quickly. With 1-2 minutes between coats, On the last coat, get it as wet as you can without it running. Then pull the tape off right away. My 2nd attempt turned out perfect, smooth finish that looked like satin paint. In my profile there's a pic of my fangs...
Doing door handles & emblems are much easier. You mask off a bigger area than what you're spraying. And just peel it off the paint. Then it tears or breaks at the gaps or seams around whatever you've sprayed.

A dry micro fiber towel works pretty good.

After thinking about it some more couldnt you also just spray more layers on. Let it dry. Then peel it off? I really wanna do my tailights but would like to be able to revert them to stock if i needed to

Yeah I feel ya... It kept me from redoing it for awhile too. Then a buddy of mine said he'd help. It does make it easier too, if you have someone to help you peal it off.

You could do that for sure. The thicker, the easier...

Anybody have pics of a yellow 370 with the handles/wheels?

Just do the handles... If you don't like it peal it off. Handles & emblems are extremely easy to do and peal. I wouldn't do my wheels. IMO. To do them best, you need to take the wheels off and do the inside too.
Big job, that can get f'd up easy. Especially if you get new tires.

Yeah I've painted a lot of wheels and only dipped one set and it came out good but they were white so they got dirty quick and if you don't keep them clean, say goodbye to the white.

Nu Finish (Dr Scratch) also made it simple to remove the extra black dots on the area sprayed on. Sometimes the wind makes it go in other directions. You won't really see them until you're washing your car and drying it.

Anybody have any idea how to disassemble the door handle? I attempted but gave up.

I did it, but it was an involved project:

I basically drilled out the 2 rivets on each handle, had a friend at a machine shop drill and tap the ends so I could assemble them again. It way easier to paint them and get a good base and clear coat under the handle.

I also have pictures of how to spring goes back on. Kinda tricky but possible!

Also, for people who take the handles off and don't want to drop the screw: take some masking take and roll it into a cylinder sticky side out. Even though i had a magnetic tip screwdriver, it was a nice piece of mine to have the barrier!
