If you do not remove the brake rotor, you will not be able to verify a good seat of the new studs. Plus you may damage the rotor while tightening individual studs in... Therefore, removing the caliper is necessary in order to remove the rotor too.

even if you use the V2 type with built-in studs dont use excess amounts of loctite blue cause you may have problems removing it down the road. just a small dab on the factory stud and letting it cure over night is all that's needed. |
