These lights, in my experience, definitely need an extra helping of sealant to make them get a good, permanent seal. Just pushing them in while the stock sealant is pliable

If its to tight take some sand paper and lightly sand the edges of the shroud until the ring pops in. You might have to repaint that part after sanding. Hope this helps.
