I'm installing a 2nd set of halos as soon as the weather warms up into the 60s. Going to be a little rougher this time as it involves heavy modification to the parking light shrouds.

You can do it! Its easy, its just scary opening them for the 1st time, but when the O SH_T factor kicks in you work strait through it.

I'm sure this has probably been asked, but after a quick search of the thread it didnt jump out at me, so here goes...

Would I need the optional harness for the halos if I were going to power them off of the running lights? I assume yes, but wasn't sure and figured I would ask those who have already done it

Thanks in advance!

No the harness is if you plan on running the wires out of the headlights into the fuse box or as I like to run them into the cigarette lighter. This will allow you to quickly disconnect them if you take out the headlights. Running them to the parking lights keeps the wires inside the headlight.

landing strip with morimoto xba angel eyes

one of the voltage regulators fried after installation though, not sure what happened as I'm 100% sure the wire was hooked up correctly. Luckily I had a spare one.

Sorry to here about the burn out.. I recommend the XB because they have 12V resistors attached to them from factory.. All is included in the warrenty.. I believe my current lights are V1's, I have been to lazy to swap them out, but will have some recovery time on my hands to catch up on projects..
