First of all, awesome write-up!

Has anybody ever dropped a screw while trying to screw on the spoiler? What to do now it's stuck inside the trunk.

Yep, I did this too. I purchased a magnetic pickup tool from O'Reilly's. It only took three attempts to fish out the nut.

Thanks for the DIY, simota1. I referred to this thread a few times during the install.

So, I'm pretty sure I effed up when I bought the "factory style" $200 spoiler off of CarID.com Because I just got it today and it came with two bolts and washers... Has anyone else made this mistake and is it possible to modify it so that its held on by more than 2 f***ing bolts?

You can also open the hatch all the way a few times, there is a gromet u can stick ur finger and take it out. If not you have to close the hatch hard a few times and it will come out. I still have 1 socket in there LOL

So what did you do? Did you just use the two bolts supplied, or did you drill and tap additional bolt holes? I have the same one and was wondering if all I need is two. For me, less hole drilled, the better.

Still haven't installed it yet. Moneys been tight and works been crazy. Lookin into it this weekend though. But a couple of my mechanic buddies tell me that most of the spoilers theyve dealt with use 2 bolts. None of them have seen a spoiler attached with 11.
