You were right $400-500 bucks is alot better than having my car sit at a dealer(outside)for a undetermined amount of time and some young inexperienced tech working & dirtying up my car,sh!t getting stolen off my car while it's at the dealer and the very careful tow truck driver Fvcking up my ground effects.

Money,SH!T!!! I can make more but the time and energy I have in my car,

PRICELESS

I wasn't aware of this issue, though I just checked and mine is working fine, no alert, it makes the sound when I hit start to ACC. But I do have the "B" rev. lock.

It sounds like it's close to being a recall, how will people be alerted of this recall if it does happen? I just bought mine and I'm wondering if I'll get something in the mail or not. It'd be great if we could have a sign up list of all "at risk" steering lock people so of and when the recall happens we can call our local dealers and get it taken care of.

a bit presumptuous... nissan hasn't made any indication of considering a recall to date. they seem to be ignoring the problem and reluctantly replacing it if you car is still under warranty.
