Somatic, I just got my boot in today, and was installing it... I noticed when you go to downshift in M mode the plastic retainer ring on the shifter likes

Somatic, I just got my boot in today, and was installing it... I noticed when you go to downshift in M mode the plastic retainer ring on the shifter likes to get in that crevice of the faceplate and prevent you from pulling the shifter all the way back... Were you able to find a fix for this?
Only thing I can think of is remove it?  Or maybe trim some of the shifter knobs bezel of the base?? Edit: Just re-read the OP, so now we just use the Manual's baseplate instead of the Auto?? Hmmm....  Did he re-install the PRND plate or no?
