I thought so too, but apparently the upper piece has a very small lip on it, I'm gonna have to file that down in the front to get it to fit. =/

The only thing I can see it hitting now is a small white... button of some sort on the left side of the shifter. I have no idea what it does, or how to remove it so I can't cut it. Therefore I have to cut the trim piece which I was hoping to not have to do.

I've had it, I'm buying that dremel tomorrow. You watch after I get that though it's only going to take 15 mins and bam I'm done.

Although I am noticing the whole console trim piece when in place, doesn't want to sit all the way down. I'm wondering if it won't sit flush once it's mounted.

It will sit just like the auto piece, and the little white box on the left is for the shift lock in case you need to put the car in neutral just push down on the top and pull it in neutral, don't cut this box trim the black 6sp piece to go around it.

Yeah, I'm not messing with that thing.

But I've decided to call it quits for the night and start again tomorrow when there's more daylight. I'll go to Ace and get the dremel set cause with my file it's just taking too long to trim this piece down. :shakes head:

When I get to Georgia/SC we'll have to compare our parts to see if I was even cutting what I needed to vs cutting everything :rofl2:

I'm just worried about them getting down in the tranny, or in the shifter area and messing up something. I don't have a Compressor lol and my hand vac won't have enough focused power to get it all out... oh well lol

Don't over analyze it just trim the shifter base & the black bottom piece on the 6sp part and assemble and enjoy.

It will all be good!!!

Look at this piece closely and you will see where I cut it,but since every thing is black you have to look at the pic for awhile.

Yup, I have the bottom piece trimmed the same way, it's not the bottom piece thats hitting, it's the upper piece thats hitting that white shifter box. =/

You have to trim the upper piece a little in the same spot you trimmed the lower black piece (the circular part)but don't worry about the boot being unsupported when it is installed it is up against the shifter housing you have been cutting on.

Plus you have to trim around the black square where the hazard switch goes.
