Hey guys, be careful if you buy the product from distributor on Amazon. I ordered the one listed here and was supposed to have the PGHNI2 wiring harness.... mine came with a PGHNI1 wiring harness soo needless to say I contacted the seller and hopefully they will straighten it out. Didn't figure it out until I took apart everything and was trying to connect the new components. So just check the part number taped to the harness before you go through all the trouble

Default antenna adaptor

You mentioned you ordered the wrong adapter.

The one you have listed now is correct? HD Radio antenna adaptor: BAA3637

Great DIY!!!

Glad to see this guide is still helping people out. It's been awhile since I've been on here, but I'm back now.

My iSimple is still going strong. I guess I should update the guide to include the HD Radio adapter.

Wasn't sure if anyone was interested in the HD Radio upgrade. Ok, I'll work on it.

Default Ipod Harness

I'm curious if anyone knows if the Ipod Harness ([284H2] HARN-iPod SYSYTEM) will connect to the Factory Bose System. I've asked 4 people from Nissan and no one seems to know the answer.

They keep telling me, "it should work..." It's a special order so they won't let you return it if it doesn't.

I wish it was that easy to add an iPod to the Bose system.... i believe that cable will only connect up to the Nissan navigation units.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I'm amazed how many folks at the Nissan dealership couldn't give me an answer.

Appreciate it!

Rob,

How did you get the Bose head unit in the Nismo? Did you order that from the factory that way? Buy it & install it after the fact? What about the speakers?

I thought (maybe I'm wrong) that the Nismo only came w/ the none-Bose stereo, thus no sub, etc.

Anything on USB? I am going to install this on Sunday. It will be great if I can use a USB drive.

Hey Spartan.
I don't DIY so I had it put in at Best Buy. It works well. I noticed one slight issue. In order to choose an artist, I have to scroll through one by one. How did you handle this? Did you go back to I-tunes and use more stringent use of the genres? It's fine with Aerosmith or Acoustic Alchemy, Yes is a different story.

Anyway, thanks for the information on how to control the Ipod through the stereo.

Lonnie:

I agree it is a pain to scroll through long lists, but I have learned to live with it. There really is no way around it.

Jim:

I don't own a NISMO. I own a 2009 Touring with aero kit. I added an OEM NISMO cat-back exhaust system a few months after purchase. Maybe that's what your referring to?
