did you ever put armor all or any greasy protectant on your EC? if so thats why it wont stick dishwashing soap and water is the best killer for removing all the greasy film... OR are you tryna tape at night? the moisture in the air makes the masking tape have a difficult time to stick also... could be a possible cause
