So dumb question, how did you get the masking tape to even stick? Ive tried automotive painters tapr as well as regular blue painters tape and it will not stick.

So dumb question, how did you get the masking tape to even stick? Ive tried automotive painters tapr as well as regular blue painters tape and it will not stick. I also used prep all to see if that would help and it still wont stick to it. Any help would be great.
