The 2 post would be an excellent garage tool. However the Ranger is more convenient. For instance, the Ranger can be stored. The two post is pretty much permanent (except the mid lift MaxJack). But the simple idea of moving the jack to the car and not the car to it has its advantages. What if the car don't run? You would have to push the car and line it upto the 2 post arms vs sliding the Ranger under. What if you don't finish a job and need the lift ASAP? You can slide car Jacks under and then lower the Ranger to remove and move them. What about low ceiling? Can't fit a full size 2 post. A 2 post will need a 2 car garage tyo fit and ot will take a good bit of space foing it. However, there are other benefits of the 2 post. They work "better." Get more height, more working space under car, can park a car under the first temporary, a helping hand can easier fit under car to help, ect.

All very good points!

I'm pretty lucky in that I have access to my dad's old shop that holds six cars, has a 5hp air compressor, two post lift, brake disc machine, parts cleaning tank, welders and just about anything else you would need. My dad is retired from being an ASE certified auto mechanic and has taught me a lot over the years. He is now confined to a wheelchair so that is all of the motoring he gets to do. He loves to hear that I make use of the shop and keep working on cars.

I use the QuickJack lift in my own garage for quick projects. Faster than going to the shop and playing musical cars to get to the lift and get work done. Big projects I do at my dad's shop.

Default FI CBE installed

On December 29th, as planned, my buddy and I installed the Fast Intentions TDX CBE using the Ranger lift. The install was a breeze and we had plenty of room under the car, both of us. The height is really ideal to work under the car and you can use a low profile creeper too.

We not only installed the exhaust (which is awesome!) we installed upgraded sway bars (HUGE improvement over stock), the rear fog light and then gave the underside a good looking over.

Total time was around 2.5 hours. The lift setup took about 10 minutes from getting it out of storage to having the car up in the air and safety locked. I really like the Ranger lifts! Great investment!

My next planned project is installing a Stillen Super Charger in the June time frame. Along with that will be an oil cooler and possibly a brake upgrade. Either bigger brakes will be needed or a boat anchor and release mechanism........

Make sure you check out the part of this thread that shows how I mounted the pump to the cradle. If you have two people it is not a problem, but if you are trying to this alone, make sure you use some cardboard to shim the pump to help align the mounting holes. That was the only difficult thing about the assembly. Also, make sure you have a couple of quarts of auto transmission fluid and teflon tape on hand.

Let us know how it works out for you!

I called QuickJack and they advised other vendors aren't allowed to sell below their Sale Price. They offered to cancel my order but I didn't wanna go through all that and then reorder somewhere else.

Good question. All the specs are the same.

Our new and improved BL-3500SLX features a welded-steel reinforced upper box frame with cantilevered rubber block trays for increased rubber block reach. Not only do the extended trays allow for better functionality, they also allow the contact blocks on the trailing side of the lifting frames to be positioned closer to the wheels during set-up. The enhanced BL-3500SLX features dual-position automatic safety locks that engage automatically as the lift rises. A quick flip of the lock bar disengages the safeties for a smooth hands-free descent.

Looks like new safety locking system.

JC, you'd have to put your car on race ramps to use this....

Yes, use the cheap stuff. I used O'Reilly's brand and it works fine.

It does not matter if it is Dextron or any of the other flavors.....
