I find I prefer the paddles for upshifting in general and for straight line acceleration, but prefer the gear stick (after this mod) for downshifting and driving into corners. I found it takes the shifter from being redundant with the paddles to a great second option.
Reversing the up/down makes it much more much more intuitive (i.e, "grabbing a gear" to go faster and "pushing away" to brake). |
