I put some bucket seats in and I'm trying to get rid of the flashing airbag light on the gauge cluster. Will the resistor in the airbag harness remove that light after the reset? Or is it mandatory to put the weight sensor in?

My seats have no removable cushions, so I have no where to put it...

I'm not too concerned about the passenger air bag function right now, I just want the flashing gauge cluster light off.

weight sensor is mandatory. You can always just roll up the weight sensor and set it behind the seat.

Thanks. Does anyone have any tips on removing the sensor? I can't seem to find a tutorial.

I still cant get the passenger seat air bag to work
I bought a weight sensor and installed it in the Sparco seat
Unlike the Bride tho ,these seats cant be taken apart so to actually get the sensor to read the weight is tricky/hard

Our buddy club seats don't have any removal padding. I just placed the weight sensor under the seat, plugged it in, made my resistors, plugged them in, did the reset procedure and everything worked. So far my passenger air bag light has stayed off too.

Thanks OP! + Rep for you!

Default Maxima airbag light

I am going to try this procedure to stop my 2005 Maxima airbag light from flashing when I installed Recaros. The 350z required 2.2 ohm resistors to turn off the light and it has no occupancy sensor. I tried 2.2 ohm resistors in the Maxima and it did not work. I will try 4.7 ohm resistors. Also, I have an airbag module under the drivers seat. I plugged it in to the car after removing it from the original seat but I still get the same error code for it . I have 4 airbag error codes...both seat airbags (hopefully fixed with 4.7 ohm resistors), the occupancy sensor, and the air bag module.

Two 2.2 ohm resistors in series yields 4.4 ohms. Might be close enough to work. Worth a try.

Default Seat Sensor

I need a seat sensor for a 2008 Inifiniti G Sedan, mine seems to have failed. I'm assuming these are fairly interchangeable. Has anyone found a source where you can buy them? Doesn't seem to be a way to use a by-pass chip for the pressure sensor. Any help would be great!

Will this mod turn out the passenger air bag light above the mirror or only the fault light in the dash? Also, with this mod does the passenger airbag still work or does it only turn the light out?

So, sorta digging this up from the past, we came up with an "inventive" solution to being able to put your stock seat back in if you change back. We only put our racing seat (Sparco Pro 2000) in for the one week of the year of One Lap of America. So I needed to be able to put the seat back in, and not have to order a new wiring harness for the plug only. So we came up with, what seems to be, a great solution.

I removed the plug from the seat and clipped it (two wires) about 2 inches up. On the wires remaining on the seat I put two female crimp on plugs. We wired the resistor with two inches of wire and on the loose ends put 2 female crimp on plugs. Then on the loose plug we put two crimp on MALE plugs. Now that plug can be switched between the resistor, or the seat, depending on its need!
