Will any of this stuff take off that titanium burn color or is it safe? auto finesse doesn't mention it so I don't know if anyone's tried it.

Definitely interested in hearing how it goes. Never used to be a big deal but ever since I ripped the cats off and boosted the car, the soot problem is...noticeable.

If your car was really all that fast, the g forces would pull the soot off and you wouldn't have this problem.

Trust me; I'm a scientist. You just need more boost.

Would steel wool work? I think I remember using it on my Borla tips many years ago.

I see you've already ordered, but here's my process for taking care of exhaust tips:
  • Initial scrubbing with All Purpose Cleaner and some OLD towels to remove as much soot as possible
  • Metal Polish #1 with #0000 steel wool
  • Metal Polish #2 with a microfiber applicator
  • Quick Sealant to seal them up

Crappy shot, but something like this:

I'm surprised Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish hasn't been brought up, but since it hasn't, here goes:

Before/After:

Both Finished:

Stuff is not expensive, and works wonders. Only way to improve it is to get a Mothers Powerball (Small) or Powercone, and use a screwdriver on low speed to work off the excessive stuff and save your arm.

And I have an F.I. exhaust as well Mark, so your will look just as good as these.
