I think the absorber should be called the scratcher, it gets wet, heavy and creates a suction type connection to the car if you drag it across. All that seems like it does to me is trap any thing between the absorber and the car and drag it across the car with weight and suction, no good.

I believe the Absorber is fine as long as you "dab" it on the car instead of using it like a towel. It actually absorbs water pretty well with just dabbing.
