Yellowish heat stains on CBE - need advice

Ya the color change is there to stay. However it doesn't look bad

Its a feature now! If you tell me what metal that part of the tips are I could find out how hot they got to change them to a gold color. A good friend of mine is a manager of a heat treating company, he gets off on stuff like that.

Fullmonty,
The FI CBE is made of T-304 stainless steel.
Will be interesting to learn at what temp stainlee steel starts to change color!

Yeah, CBE is T-304, but is the tip T-304 as well?

The man himself (i.e.Tony) said so... so i beleive it is T-304 for the CBE mufflers & tips.
