So I read in this topic that 18 inch rims and I guess some type of wheel is needed...Which one has been the most effective for you guys? We all live in Toronto, so I hope our end results will be similar lol.

You are correct, wheels have to be changed to 18's if you don't already have them.
What people are talking about when they say: 235/45/18
235 is the width of the tire
45 is the profile (height of the side wall)
18 wheel size
Just get steelies for winter driving.
