My story of lying to get off without a speeding ticket. This was in my student days...
Doing 45mph in a 30 zone. Pulled over by the police. Swore blind I wasn't exceeding the limit (this was in the days before radar guns etc). Went home, got my camera, photographed the 30mph road sign which was partially obscured by leaves, went to the police station, swore blind that my car was only running on 3 cylinders and it couldn't reach 50 (not entirely true), got really annoyed (!), showed him my photos and they tore up the ticket lol. I'm not proud of this, but I'm amazed it worked.
